True to the Christian mission of teaching, Niranam church has been in the forefront of educational activities in the village. The church runs two schools - St Mary's Lower Primary School and St Mary's High School- with the vision of providing low-cost, quality education to the children from lower and middle classes. These were among the very first schools set up in Niranam.

The church also runs the St Mary's Industrial Training Centre to provide vocational training to the youth, which is a very reputable institute in the locality.
